SNAP! The greatest gift is being present

Whether it's Fa La La or Fa La Latkes, finding joy with family and friends is the best part of the holiday season.

As a caregiver, celebrating with your patient or loved one is an opportunity for visitors to stop by. This isn't the time to be overwhelmed. Space out the company and limit the time.

It's a great time to bring out all the cookies and cakes you've been de-stress baking. If you're lucky, Someone will drop by with a treat for you!

My husband and I both appreciated it when friends asked if they could stop by, like when Sandy and Floyd brought over her famous chocolate chip cake. Because we weren’t going out, their visit was a welcome change of pace.

Be together. Lend a hand. Spread good cheer.
